Frank Wilson from Earls Barton
This is my Grandad (Pap) Frank Wilson from Earls Barton, Northamptonshire who enlisted into the Royal Artillery in the Autumn of 1939. Frank served with the 8th Army in North Africa operating the large anti-aircraft guns. After capturing Benghazi from the Italians, they crossed the Mediterranean into Sicily, landing at Catania. Moving up through Italy via Taranto, Naples, Rome, Venice and Osoppo, he then crossed the Alps into Austria. Frank was demobbed in August 1946.
